We’re still moving up the east coast…who knew Florida was so big!!
Many years ago we went to St. Augustine by car and loved it. We’re excited for another visit.
There are a lot of marina and mooring ball options. We opted for two nights at the Conch House Marina. We’ve discovered that staying somewhere for two nights feels like a mini-vacation. A weekend.
We walked over the iconic Bridge of Lions bridge to downtown and had an excellent meal at Harry’s.
St. Augustine is a classic tourist town. Walking malls, lots of shops to buy stuff you’ll never use and tons of restaurants and bars! If America knows anything, it’s how to make people fat 🙂
On the second day we had a drink with our new friends with the other PDQ, Ripple. They invited us for a tour of their boat – it was amazing!! So many thoughtful customizations! These two (Don and Robbin) are talented in so many ways!
One upgrade they made just before this trip is changing out their 75hp engines for the 110’s like we have. Now they can cruise at 14-15 knots. Teri suggested they change their name from Ripple to Wave LOL!
This adventure has been amazing so far! Occasionally we complain about living so small. We love our boat but in no way does it compare to the comforts of a home! That said, the couple on the jet ski are traveling from Georgia to the Bahamas!!! Perspective!
Speaking of perspective, I love taking shots from the drone. Unfortunately, my flying experience consists of less than 10 minutes, so the video is painful! Expect slow improvements as we slide north.
Next stop, Fernandina…still Florida 😐
