Day 19 – Sepalo Anchorage to Isle of Hope (Savannah)

Morning at the Sepalo anchorage was beautiful. Ripple was the first to lift the hook, of course.

The forecasters were signaling a fairly light southwest wind which is ideal for zipping out a pass and spending some time in the Atlantic. Ripple opted for this, mostly because Don wanted to drop a line out back and see what he might catch.

We decided to wander through the inside.  The lowlands are relaxing and surprisingly scenic.

The Isle of Hope marina is just outside of Savannah. Their services and staff were very good.

They offer a loaner car which we used to resupply our fridge and cupboards. I bought two new boat batteries 🙂

The streets near the marina were filled with old, quaint, and really well-cared-for homes. Lots of character.

This area was sporting 9′ tides which we tried to capture in a couple pictures. Amazing!

While we were sea sledding our way to the top of Georgia, Mandy and Eli traveled to Gulf Breeze to visit with Great Grandma (Nana Banana), Matt and Aly, and some of her friends. So special! We really wanted to be home for their visit. But, we’ll catch up with Mandy and her growing family soon!

Next stop Beaufort, South Carolina! Wow! We made short work of Georgia!
