Our second day began with us adding the AGLCA Burgee to our boat. Now we’re official Loopers! During a quick stop for fuel, while I was feeding the beast with vitamin diesel, Teri had a chat with two guys involved with a local salvage operation. They warned us a specific part of route was full of debris, and to stay close to the green markers. We took their advice of course, but at one point we lightly bumped into something. Thankfully, we were at idle speed or close to it, and whatever we nudged, it was soft. Mermaid? Imagine how much worse it would have been had we ignored their advice 😉 Otherwise the trip was an easy ride.
The terrain is mostly marshland. Pretty enough but there really isn’t much to point a camera at until you get to Apalachicola.
While excited to return to one of our favorite docks, the various weather forecasts had us beginning to worry about how we were going to get to Anclote key.
