Feeling rested and recharged from spending two nights in one spot, we left Harbourage Marina for Venice. We hadn’t made a decision on where to stay in Venice, but Teri had identified two candidate marinas.
By the time we decided to leave the marina, the wind was howling! Dangit! We really should have left at first light when it was still calm….woulda, shoulda. It was an hour of beat down!
Our route had us going under the Tampa Bay bridge – very cool!
Like yesterday, the Intercostal was wonderful! Turquoise water lined on both sides with gorgeous homes! And boats!! So many boats. I won’t speak for Teri, but it seems I will never ever grow tired of boats!
We secured a spot at The Crow’s Nest Marina. The weather people were forecasting a potentially severe storm and 40 mph winds. The marina was starting to waffle about allowing us to stay. They did, but asked us to stay the night tied at their gas dock and requested we leave early the next day….before the worst of the storm. We weren’t overly happy with that arrangement, but hey, we’re doing the Loop and that was tomorrow’s problem 🙂
